| The dogs run against the turn of a set of specially formulated cards which automatically adjust the odds and form so the outcome of each race is variable. Each race lasts around 8 minutes. There are 10 races per card. Use pencil to mark the winners so these can be rubbed out and the cards are then ready for use in future games. On the reverse of the instruction sheet are illustrations of extra race meeting cards which could be photocopied and used later. The game is similar to And they're off horse racing game. Both games involve moving playing pieces forward on the turn of cards but A night at the dogs has more; form cards are dealt before the race and ‘upsetting the form’ cards are dealt during the race. |
