1 x playing board
300 x Blurt cards with 1,200 Defunitions, 2 on each side;
- blue side easy
- red side more difficult, for older children
6 x colour pawns
1 x dice
1 x rules leaflet

Move your pawn from the START space, clockwise along the colour path and return. Be the first to blurt out a word defined by a ‘Defunition’; a real definition to a word from the Webster's II Riverside children's dictionary.

Examples include;
Q "A figure resembling a human that is set up to scare birds away from crops"
- a scarecrow
Q "A large metal disk that makes a deep, ringing sound when struck"
- a gong
Hold that thought; an incorrect guess eliminates you till the next definition

Name that word; when the dice rolls a 6, the reader announces the number of words in a definition. Players or teams then take turns bidding how many words they might need to guess correctly. The lowest bid has the chance to play. Win and move forward 6 spaces. Lose and move back 6!
