Who's going to be the first to break the
witches' spell?
As players move around the game board, they pick up cards after each turn. If it is Wanda the wicked, the player is under a spell, must change
their playing piece for a mouse of the same colour and may not move. They are under a spell
and may not move. On the next turn, they only draw a
card. If it is Glenda the good the spell is broken and the
player replaces the mouse with their playing piece and can move on the next round.
When ghoulish Gerty is drawn, the player must take the whammy ball and drop it down the
chimney. This can have disastrous consequences on any player below. The ball
can drop into any one of four different traps. It could dislodge the creaky
floorboard; hit the broom which in turn sweeps you off your feet; roll down the stairs and hit you; or it can drop into the bucket which
tilts over onto you and also flicks up the secret panel in the opposite room.
The winner is the first player to travel through the haunted
house and reach the charmed circle at the top of the stairs.
