Ocean Trader recreates 19th century world trade and trading ships in a lavishly produced board game.
The object is to purchase and hold a majority share holding in a shipping line. This is achieved by trading around the world, buying and selling goods at various ports at the highest possible price. The game involves judgement, risk and an element of luck.
  Contents Notes

1 x playing board
18 x coloured ships, 6 sets of 3 numbered ships
6 x ship owners office cards
18 x comprehensive insurance policy triangular dockets
83 x world trade cards
144 x bills of ladling, 6 bills for each of 24 goods
10 x share certificates
52 x prospects cards
1 x dice
1 x pack of money in 4 denominations, £10, £50, £100 and £500

1 x rules leaflet

This is a unique and challenging game. The combination of trading patterns and the unpredictable and imaginative prospects cards conspire to create near disaster for some and good fortune for others.
Careful route planning, buying additional ships, risking sailing without insurance, fever, doldrums, storms and de-mastings all have their part in making this a most enjoyable board game.
The playing board is beautiful and care taken in production of all the playing pieces.
