| 33 American soldier counters are individually named characters from the movie; Ace, Adams, Barnes, Big Harold, Bunny, Crawford, Doc, Ebenhoch, Elias, Flash, Francis (2), Fu Sheng, Gator, Gardner, Hoyt, Huffmeister, Junior, King Pin (2), Manny, Morehouse, O’Neill, Parker, Rhah, Rodriguez, Sal, Sanderson, Taylor, Tex, Tubbs, Warren and Wolfe. The remaining 4 are fake soldiers. Duplicate named counters carry different weapons used by the character in different fire fights. 38 North Vietnamese soldier counters are all unnamed but each with different strength and weaponry. 4 are fake soldiers. The Battle manual also includes a short explanation of modern ground combat, infantry weapons of the Vietnam war, examples of play, optional game rules and suggested reading.
