Each player is assumed to be a married family person with a job, an income and cash in hand as per cards.
Provide for your family, be insured, own a property, have mortgage protection insurance, house contents paid for, with cash in hand, money saved (bank, building society, council investment, premium bonds and unit trusts) and adequate life insurance.
You start with a rented house and draw a monthly salary on passing start, less all repayments due.
