Quizzard is the quiz game with a big difference; competitive buzzing. Question books and an electronic umpire enable six players to play variations of 3 types of game play.
- First to Buzz; the first to press the buzzer may answer the question.
- Random; the quizmaster presses the buzzer, the electronic umpire decides who answers.
- Countdown; answer within a time limit controlled by the electronic umpire.

There are 3 different levels of question book for the Quizmaster to choose from. Champion questions are for 18+, Master questions are general knowledge for 18+ and Wizard questions are for 8 to 12 year olds.

Each booklet contains 1000 general knowledge or specialist subject questions about films, TV, music, art and literature, history, geography and sport.

The electronic umpire, which needs 4 AA batteries, makes this game unique and can be used with other time based quiz games eg. Trivial Pursuit. The instructions suggest “use Quizzard's electronic umpire to add more fun to charades, puzzles, dice games or any of your favourite games!"
Alternative versions are described in the instructions booklet for game plays, First to Buzz (2 alternatives), Random (5alternatives) and Countdown (2 alternatives).
