The object of the game is to be the first player to reach the throne at the centre of the game board and answer a royalty question correctly. Players work their way round the 72 spaces on the game board. Each space has an illustration and name of a member of the royalty through the ages, colour coded for category;
- red for monarchy, green for cabbages and Kings, yellow for years, dark blue for current royals and light blue for multiple choice.
Answer the question correctly and get another turn. Answer incorrectly and, excluding multiple choice questions, it becomes a bonus question. Passed to the player on the left with each incorrect answer consecutively. Finally, the player who answers the bonus question correctly moves 3 spaces forward.

The game includes many fascinating facts and trivia about the Royal Family throughout the ages. The colour portraits on the game board add interest.
