A simplified strategy game of naval combat designed by Robin Wyatt.

2 game play options. Seastrike I has equal resources available to both sides. Seastrike II offers a framework of ideas, suggestions, new rules, additional resources and notes that will enable players to evolve their own more detailed, less evenly balanced and therefore more realistic games.

The first to destroy the enemy HQ or half the enemy forces, to a value of £25M or £30M. if options apply, wins.

Players represent part of the defence forces of a small but technically advanced country. An uneasy peace could turn into conflict at any time. The playing area represents an area of sea and small islands of strategic importance, approximately 120 Km distant from each country.

Each has decided that, if possible, it will strike first in this area. A local Commander is appointed with instructions to establish Command HQ. You are given authority to select, within budget, the force needed. to drive the enemy from the area.
The action is part of a more general conflict and neither side can afford heavy losses. Each will withdraw either before losses get too great or if its position is weakened by the destruction of its local Command HQ.
