| An absorbing family game which simulates the compulsive struggle for power in politics. The first player to progress through all stages and pass their bill into law wins; - elect MPs to the House of commons - obtain a bill - increase the size of your party at by-elections - form a government - pass your bill through 3 readings All players seek the same thing so, as in real life, you may be forced to bide your time, wait for public opinion to swing in your favour or hope that your opponents make costly mistakes. All the personalities of parliamentary government are here, from cabinet Ministers to back benchers. Move round the board according to each party’s majority not by dice. Tactics and negotiations play a large part in success or failure to become the government, pass a law or oust an opponent from power just as they are on the point of winning. |
