At the start of each game, one of 40 specially written cases is read to
all the players. This case sets out the details of a crime; murder, theft or
disappearance, as Sherlock Holmes would have been introduced to one of his
famous cases.
Pick up clues by landing on one of 14 locations in Central London on the board. Depending on the case, you may 1) get no clue 2) a general statement clue or 3) a puzzle clue. General statements would be eg. Stanley Harris has a bad case of asthma or Alice Gloth was seen outside the Boar’s Head the night of the murder. Puzzle clues refer to a specific item eg. the killer, weapon or motive. You must determine which clues are important and which are merely incidental. |
